Independent Living Skills (ILS)Camp 2007 17-19 Dec 2007 The camp tt bought us together til now....
During the December holidays, my friends and I went for the Independent Living Skills Camp 2007. Everyone was looking forward to a very fun camp which lies ahead. We were tasked to prepare our own breakfast, with a budget of $20 for each group. The facilitators planned an activity which allowed us to understand each other’s positive strengths, and thus use them to overcome our physical disabilities. Our teamwork and cooperation was also shown through The Invisible Maze, whereby we are challenged to find our way to the end of the maze. It really was an interesting experience for us. Through the Changi Board Walk, our determination to overcome physical obstacles was being put to the test, as we were tasked to pick an item which represents us, and this allows to know more about ourselves and our friends. We were given the freedom to plan our own activities. We decided to go for bowling. It turned out a very successful as all of us had so much fun. It was a first time for several of us, and it produced overwhelming results. Throughout the camp, I have really enjoyed myself fully and I am sure my friends feel the same way too!!
